January program: “Exploring Trout Trends in the Upper White River Watershed”
Wednesday, Jan. 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Fin ‘N’ Feather, 22 W. Main St., Winneconne
This presentation will focus on exploring trout trends in the upper White River Watershed. The DNR has been conducting trout survey work on the West Branch, Bird, Bowers, and Soules waterways in recent years and this presentation will provide the recent survey results as well as comparisons to historical trends.
Adam graduated from UW-Stevens Point with a bachelor’s degree in 2011 majoring in Fisheries, Wildlife, and Biology. He then pursued a master’s degree at Minnesota State University, Mankato where his thesis research involved assessing river connectivity relationships and community dynamics in Minnesota River backwater lakes. He is currently the Senior Fisheries Biologist for Waushara, Marquette, and Green Lake Counties, operating out of the Wautoma office of the DNR.
As usual, the board meeting will precede the program from 6:30-7:30. Both events are free and open to the public.
